The perfect type of black shoe

From wandering round both actual and virtual streets (via streetstyle blogs) there's a certain type and form of shoe that has caught my eye and captured my heart (I get over emotional when it comes to shoes...)
I have no idea of the style or specific name of the shoe (I'm not a fashion student nor am I a shoe expert...yet), however I have come to just call them 'The Perfect Black Shoe'.
Some examples are in order I feel...
Everyone seems to own a pair of these types of shoes, most seem to be of vintage origin, I have a similar pair but in silver from Topman (that was the first place I looked for a black pair).

I may be being stupid as they may be stocked in the most obvious place, but try as I might I can't find them for love nor money.
The example on top is an extract from a streetstyle shot from The Style Scout (a London streetstyle blog). The lower example is from OakNYC
an online boutique with a very tempting selection of clothes and shoes, the best being these Chronicles of Never Mono black 2 shoe, which are $248 and sold out in my size.
I shall keep searching, perhaps a few summer trips to London will yield a pair (much more fun than hours of futile eBaying...)

  2. I agree, but it's just a matter of getting hold of a pair that's the problem. (n)
